After a boatload of EPs and limited run releases, Phillys Radiator Hospital, the songwriting vehicle of midwest transplant Sam Cook-Parrot is releasing a new full-length called Something Wild on Salinas Records. True to the projects earlier releases, this new set of music revolves around love and heartache as told through 50s and 60s pop songwriting styles doo-wop to country and filtered through a boisterous DIY punk sound. Parrots falsetto, somewhat nasal and utterly delightful vocals, makes him sound like a Daniel Johnston or Half Japanese for a new generation, but unlike Radiator Hospitals back-catalogue, this set notches up the production.
