The album includes songs Waits had written for a play of the same name, The Black Rider – directed by Robert Wilson and co-written by William S. Burroughs. The play was based on German folktale and premiered in 1990. Remastered for the first time ever from the original ½” flat master tape. Available on 180g black vinyl.
